This is one of the rarest post-war Harley made with approximately 3700 units being produced. After taking this project over from another motorcycle shop that had come to an impass on the project, Vintage Motorcycles completely rebuilt and customized this bike over a 5 month time span.
Many custom parts had to be fabricated, since they were no longer available. Nothing was done to the bike that could not be reversed for a true restoration. Except for frame, wheels, and engine cases, everything was new, including wiring harnesses, brakes, gauges, bodywork, and all chrome fasteners. This bike won the “Best Sportster” at the Hog Wild motorcycle show in Boulder County in October 2003.
